The thrilling 11-inning clash that saw the Dodgers overcome the Toronto Blue Jays by one run attracted a combined over 50 million viewers across the US, Canada, and Japan markets. Major League Baseball reported this represents the most-watched World Series finale since the 1991 showdown featuring the Twins and Atlanta Braves.

The Saturday epic game averaged 27.33 million viewers on Fox Sports channels, Fox Deportes and their streaming platforms. Per Nielsen, it was the second most-watched program of the week.
It also is the most-watched Fall Classic matchup since the 2017 final game between the Dodgers and Houston Astros, which averaged 29.07 million. This marks a sixteen percent improvement over the last Game 7 between the Washington Nationals and Astros, which drew 23.19M.
In the Nielsen ratings, the sixth game placed 4th, the fourth game was 7th, the fifth game came in 8th, and the third game landed in thirteenth position.

In the Japanese market, where the deciding game started at 9 PM local time, it averaged 12M. This came after last Friday’s Game 6 – where Fall Classic Most Valuable Player Yoshinobu Yamamoto allowed one run in six innings – recorded 13.1 million spectators, making it the most-watched World Series matchup on a single network in the country.
Overall Averages and Patterns
The entire seven-game series drew 15.71 million audience members on the Fox network, a two percent rise from the previous year’s Dodgers versus Yankees matchup. This marks the first time since 2015 and 2016 that the World Series has seen viewership growth for two straight years.
Including the Game 1 telecast on the Univision network, the total American average reached 16.1M. The overall World Series average in Japan was 9.7M and 8.1M in the Canadian market.
