Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
